Creating a space for students and alumni to reflect
Stakeholder and public involvement in decision making is becoming increasingly key in rural resource and environmental management.
Participation Policy and Planning (PPP), established by Dr Roger Sidaway (Resolving Environmental Disputes; from Conflict to Consensus), is a key module for students undertaking MSc courses at the University of Edinburgh School of Geosciences.
Led by Dr Jane Glass, the course continues challenge and influence how we engage in public planning and policy, with a specific emphasis on Scotland.
Melt produced a simple blog site platform to allow prospective and former students to see how graduates have progressed in their careers since taking the module, drawing synergies between learning objectives and professional development.
