Himalayan Centre for Arts and Culture
The Himalayan Centre for Arts and Culture received a cash injection from Keep Scotland Beautiful's Climate Challenge Fund. With this funding, construction work was undertaken to refurbish the old Dr Bell’s Swimming Pool into one of Leith's most unique and vibrant cultural hubs.
Melt were commissioned to record the evolution of the project and the Himalayan Centre’s work in the Leith community as it establishes itself as a venue for creative, educational and cultural activity.
We've documented workshops and events led by Himalayan Centre staff and volunteers including Mela Festival and World Food Day in Leith. Check our blog site as we follow the exciting transformation of the facility.
